They
This poem proves not only by the statement, "'When the boys come back they will not be the same," but also through examples that war changes the soldiers' lives. They know what happens out there on the "battlefield." They witness death and pain daily, and they have learned true strength, as they are willing to risk their own lives for their country.

It is true that when the soldiers come back from war hey will not be the same. Not only their lives change but also their behaviors, personalities, ect. I have seen it with my own eyes. Most of the times those soldiers' minds never change and they behave all the time as if they were still in war, sleeping with their guns by their sides.

I agree with your comments about the poem. Soldiers fighting in war really is a sad thing a lot of the times, but it is necessary for our nation. It is important for other citizens to respect them and be grateful for them.
