"Becky"

In this story, Becky and her family were severed from the main society. It is clear that interracial marriages/relationships were denounced in that society, which is the main reason Becky isolated herself, as the people wanted. Her two black sons were not sure of what to do or how they would be viewed in the world because of what kind of family they came from.
